Profit from a mainstream site - The NPOW This one shouldn't be to hard for some of you and extememly hard for others. It involves using your imagination and NOT copying what you've seen before and also by hand coding as much as possible. Time to use those great adult webmastering skills in a Mainstream project for the exit links on your sites. Don't waste traffic and send it somewhere like a search engine. Your a webMaster not a webChump, so profit by this traffic too! You'll be building a single site this week. Mainstream with NO adult content or links. This is where you will be sending that traffic that clicks the exit links on your sites when they don't want to be thier or are underage. The theme of the site is yours to choose, but stay away from anything to techie and make it web freindly for teenagers, as with all these links linking back to it, it should get some decent SE (search engine) traffic. Don't go nuts and start giving stuff away, your wanting to make money off this traffic so again you try to target them. Try to have them target themselves by the links and products you'll offer. Some Possible product types that really target people are as follows: Personal ads Credit cards and financial Games Media materials (CD's and movies) Per visitor search enigine, search proggies And others you can come up with A few other things to consider......this isn't a clean site....it may be main stream, but why would you make a clean site that no one but you would be linking to? You wouldn't would you! So don't fold up since its a mainstream site..profit from it! Think about it...entrance consoles, exit consoles that have target equals new on them, but re-launch the front page when its shut down! Didn't think i'd let all the hard work and skills learned last week go to waste did you! :) It's ok to use limited graphics once you target them on the inside pages, but keep that front page slick and quick as lightening. You know why by now :) Front Page layout All text including site name SE ready Exit console to a mainstream sponsor or mainstream toplist (yes there are many of these, but you'll have to look for them) that allows it or your own store front end. Make it look nice, like a SE or store front end, done in text Links to the targeting pages NO counters, it slows it up to much Tell them to bookmark you (don't laugh, some will!) Catagory Pages Exit console back to front page Entrance console to the best converting or highest paying sponsor in that catagory. Not a bad spot for a per click or SE search proggie if they allow it. Entrance console can launch a self blur for sponsors that are targeted to the area "if they allow it" List things in this area that make you money. No use listing anything that does not make you money here. Much of this project is designed to put you to go out and search. Don't ask where to find this and that. Go look for it! Netpond has a large mainstream section and also SE's can find lots of stuff in these areas for you as well. It's this work that will allow you to profit from the rare and unusual things you find. It also is light on specific design instructions with very few hard and fast rules on PURPOSE. This is to allow you to let that inner beast of a webmster out on the mainstream world. You will find that there is quite alot of things you can do that are rarely if ever seen in the non-adult world where they depend on software to limit themselves and you know how to step over those like they were a pile of dust on the ground. :) The non-adult world is not aware of many of the tricks and practices you use daily as second nature.
